Terms of use

Effective 17 August 2026

Plain terms for using Lumeira. They are meant to be read, not endured.

What Lumeira is

Lumeira is an app that turns a dream you describe into a short film you appear in, and reflects back patterns it notices across your dreams over time. It is made by Ben Shen, an independent developer.

It is not a medical, psychological, or diagnostic service. Reflections are gentle observations drawn from what you have written, not clinical interpretation, and should not be used as a substitute for professional advice.

Your account

You need an account to use Lumeira, and you must be 13 or older. Keep your sign-in secure — anything done through your account is treated as done by you.

Your content stays yours

Your dreams, your recordings, your photos, and the films generated from them belong to you. You grant Lumeira only the permission needed to run the service: to store your content, send it to the processors listed in the privacy policy so a film can be generated, and show it back to you. We do not claim ownership, and we do not use your content to train models.

What you agree not to do

The AI models will refuse to generate some material regardless — that refusal is theirs, and it is sometimes blunter than we would like. If a dream will not render, rephrasing usually works.

Luminary subscriptions

Luminary is an optional auto-renewing subscription that unlocks longer dreams across scenes, a second take on any dream, more daydreams, and the Luminary mark. It is billed through your Apple Account.

Availability

Lumeira is made by one person. Things may occasionally break, generation may fail, and features may change. We will not intentionally take away something you have paid for without telling you.

Ending things

You can delete your account at any time from the You tab, which erases your dreams, avatars, and cast. We may suspend an account that is being used in the ways listed above.

The legal part

Lumeira is provided as-is, without warranties beyond those that cannot be excluded by law. To the extent the law allows, liability is limited to the amount you have paid for the service in the twelve months before a claim. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.

Changes

If these terms change materially, the app will tell you before the change takes effect.
